Other scenic waterways in the area include the Wright Patman Lake Area and Elk Meadow Game Ranch.

There are 13 school districts serving the county, each of which only hire the most helpful and qualified teachers and administrators. Texas A&M University–Texarkana offers a variety of undergraduate degree programs in addition to athletic and graduate degree programs. Texarkana College is a great option for those looking to quickly obtain a degree and enter the workforce.
